What is Suelake.com?
Suelake.com is the worlds one and only Habbo Hotel V5 (2003) private server, powered by custom-coded Java server software.
What's the history of Suelake.com?
In the beginning of 2009, users of
script-o-matic.net decided that it would be epic to have a Habbo Hotel private server for the community to enjoy.
We decided to target one of the oldest versions of Habbo Hotel, so people could experience how it was back then.
Some senior members formed a team to write server software (C#.NET) for Habbo Hotel version 5, something never done before.
However - 'Project Siberia' failed within a week due to loss of interest, lack of progress etc.
This is where
Nillus and
Office.Boy (Mike) decided to give the project another try, but just with them two doing all the work.
Because they were both interested in the Java programming language, they decided to write it in Java.
This led to
Project Blunk, a Java multi user server framework.
Nillus quickly did a similar project with the framework, a
Mobiles Disco server emulator, before we started programming
the actual Habbo Hotel server software.
The domain name www.suelake.com was already acquired - as it was just too epic.
Nillus wrote the majority of the server and this fancy PHP 'frontend', while Mike kept working out network protocol etc.
Really, this is all the interesting history - now go enjoy all of our hard labour!
